Fees for the 2009-2010 Season
*If your player makes the Squirt A team, an extra payment of approximately $400 will need to be paid for additional ice time before your child can skate. GOALIE REGISTRATION DISCOUNT The WHA will allow a registration fee discount of 50% to goalies playing at the Peewee and Bantam levels. Goalies playing at these levels are responsible to furnish their own equipment whereby the purpose of the discount is to off-set such equipment costs. This registration discount will be applied by the association after registration fees are determined at each level for the season. At the Squirt level goalies will have the option of payment in full and use of the WHA goalie equipment or taking a 50% discount of that year's Squirt registration fee and providing their own equipment. This discount will be limited to two goalies per team, and each goalie must practice and play at that position for the entire season for the discount to apply. Goalies receiving this discount must adhere to the standard equipment regulations as required by USA Hockey, Minnesota Hockey and District 6.
PAYMENT OF FEES Fees for competitive-level players may be broken down into three equal payments if paying by check. If paying with a credit card, the entire amount must be charged in one lump sum.
Additionally, all families are required to pay a $150 Fundraising Fee (not included in the above fee chart). In exchange for this fee, each family will receive six tickets to the association’s annual Wine & Cheese Tasting event on March 27. You may sell your $25 tickets to recover your costs.
Families are also required to pay a Volunteer Fee at the beginning of the season ($225 for competitive-level families, $105 for Ice Mite/Mite families). If your family fulfills your volunteer requirement of 15 hours for competitive-level families and 7 hours for Ice Mites/Mites at the end of the season, then your check will not be cashed. Families with multiple players need only volunteer for a maximum of 15 hours. Your team’s manager will collect this money and track your volunteer hours. Visit the Volunteer Program page of this Web site for information on available volunteer opportunities.
